The good news is that we've been too busy to update the website in a while. The bad news is that we haven't updated the website in a while! The latest installation was the 18' tall mirror polished sculpture for the Palos Verdes Art Center. You can see some pics in the blog here. Prior to that, we installed a piece called Duality in Palm Desert, CA for a two-year exhibit, the El Paseo Invitational Sculpture Exhibition. There are pictures of that sculpture in the blog here. And we've FINALLY posted some finished pics of the hawk sculpture we installed in the El Paso Zoo. You can see those pictures in the blog here.

July 2012 - Best of 2011 award and more...
It's been too long since any news has been posted here, but the studio has been quite active. A couple large projects are coming very close to going out the door, and a few new ones are about to start. Keep an eye on the blog for the most up-to-date news. But the really big news is that Ripple was named one of the best works of public art for the year 2011! More about that in the blog here. This was very exciting for the studio. We're all proud of the work we make, and it's great to be recognized for the effort.

October 2011 - 9/11 Memorial and South Korea Sculpture Symposium
It's been a busy summer here! The latest news is that the 9/11 Memorial got a lot of press and was quite warmly received at the unveiling ceremonies on 9/11/11. Check out the blog here, here, and here for some pictures and video. Also, for three weeks (end of September and beginning of October), Heath Satow was in South Korea, representing the US at the Icheon International Sculpture Symposium. He created a two-ton stainless steel sculpture while there, which is now permanently sited as the centerpiece for a new park there in the heart of town. Check out the blog for pics of the final piece here, and take a look here for the description and concept drawings.
June 2011 - Ripple sculpture pics are on the website
The final Ripple sculpture photos are now in the portfolio section of publicsculpture.com here. There's also some video footage of the work on the blog here.
May 2011 - Ripple sculpture installation
The Ripple sculpture installation went very smoothly. You can watch a time-lapse video of the install on the blog here. Once the new building this sculpture is located in is complete, more photos and video will be shot and posted to this website.
April 2011 - Blog
The new studio blog is working out well, showing current works in progress. The idea is that the blog, once filled out a bit more, will eventually replace this "news" section of the website as something more regularly updated, including a lot more progress photos of sculptures.
March 2011 - Lots going on, and video!
Our new studio in downtown Los Angeles is getting busy. Current projects include a 9/11 Memorial incorporating a real beam from the World Trade Center, a 20-foot long, 1500-pound aluminum wall sculpture, and a 21-foot tall hawk sculpture for a wetlends project in El Paso, TX are all in the works. In order to track some of the activity, we've added a video channel on Vimeo where you can watch videos showing material samples, and projects in the works. Check out the channel here.

November 2008 - 3D models added to site!
This is pretty cool... since most Satow sculptures are designed in 3D CAD, there are virtual models of almost every sculpture. We found a way to show some of these models, in 3D, right on the website! From now on, check the text at the very bottom of each sculpture's page to see if there's link to a 3D model of that sculpture. So far, there's one for Tumbling Weed, one for the Denver Zoo, one for the Lizard sculpture, one for Dream of Flight, and one for the Dubai Industrial City mobile sculpture.

April 2008 - Updated photos
