Ripple - Los Angeles, CA

Winner of the 2012 Americans for the Arts Public Art Network Award. Aluminum and granite, 20' wide by 6' tall. Inspired by Karesansui ("Zen") gardens, combining the directional "combing" of patterns with ripples emanating from three polished black granite spheres. 240 panels make up the surface, each 3/8" thick aluminum set at a 45-degree angle to the wall.
